The two currently largest all-sky photometric datasets, WISE and SuperCOSMOS, have been recently cross-matched to construct a novel photometric redshift catalogue on 70% of the sky. Galaxies were separated from stars and quasars through colour cuts, which may leave imperfections because different source types may overlap in colour space.
I will briefly discuss the current status of standard model of cosmology with the emphasis on the GR as its main building block. Then will stress out why is it so important to obtain new and independent tests of Einstein’s gravity on cosmological scales.
I shall discuss some of the currently considered and available tests of the theory and will conclude by presenting my work towards constituting new and largely model-independent tests of GR on intergalactic and cosmological scales.

W swoim wykładzie chciałabym zaprezentować wyniki analizy krzywej blasku w zakresie rentgenowskim i optycznym symbiotycznego układu rentgenowskiego GX 1+4. Jest to układ podwójny, w którym towarzyszem gwiazdy neutronowej jest czerwony olbrzym. Źródło to wykazuje quasi periodyczne pojaśnienia w odstępach od kilkudziesięciu do kilkuset dni. Natura tych pojaśnień nie została dotychczas wyjaśniona. Nasza analiza rzuca nieco światła na tę kwestię, co jest tematem mojego wykładu.

Naukowe Centrum Badań Jądrowych od 2008 roku uczestniczy w przygotowaniu satelitarnego eksperymentu JEM-EUSO (Japanese Experiment Module - Extreme Universe Space Observatory) przeznaczonego do pomiaru promieniowania kosmicznego najwyższych energii (UHECR - Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays) z wysokości międzynarodowej stacji kosmicznej (ISS). Obecnie trwają intensywne prace nad przygotowaniem mniejszych eksperymentów, będących testem metody pomiarowej (EUSO-SPB, Mini-EUSO, EUSO-Balloon i EUSO-TA).
